Our Engine Control Harness Packages make up our core product line here at Kustom Truck. We have engineered and developed a full line of engine control harnesses that allow for a plug and play installation of Caterpillar, Cummins and Detroit engines into Peterbilt, Kenworth, Freightliner and Western Star Trucks.
You found the motor but how are you going to mount it into the chassis? With a full line of engine mounting brackets, we have you covered for the front as well as rear of the motor, air cleaner mounting brackets, radiator support rods and many more brackets that are required for the installation.
The project may start with an engine control harness but it doesn't stop there. We have developed Charge Air Cooler and Radiator tubes that provide an exact fit in a durable 304 stainless steel material. Each kit is offered in either a Mill or Polished finish.
The turbo on a Heavy Duty truck engine can range in size from 4-6" in diameter. In most cases the new engine does not have the same size turbo as the motor you are replacing. We have developed a line of Air Intake kits that include all the components needed to hook up to the front of your turbo to the air cleaners.
Electronically Interfacing a new motor into your truck doesn't start and stop with the engine harness. In order for the throttle to work you may have to replace the sensor and in some cases the entire pedal. Regardless of your particular situation, we have you covered.
Are you planning on a V-Belt or Serpentine Belt Configuration? Which fan hub will center in the fan shroud AND match the alignment of your belt configuration? These are just a few of the questions that need to be addressed in order to provide a smooth engine installation. Luckily, we provide engine up-fit kits for Cat, Cummins and Detroit.
No differently than the intake side of your turbo, the exhaust side can also vary in size as well, not to mention exhaust piping wasn't intended to last forever. We developed exhaust piping kits for Peterbilit and Kenworth trucks in either an above the frame or below the frame configuration that are complete from the turbo to the OEM "Y-Pipe".
Your new engine isn't going to last long if you don't have the ability to monitor the engine's vitals. We offer a line of OEM Matching Smart Gauges for Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks that allow for a Pyrometer, Engine Oil Temperature and Brakesaver Gauges.
Depending on the year model of your truck, replacing the trucks plumbing while your installing the new engine is a smart move. Let's face it, hoses will crack and deteriorate over time. We're talking about heater hoses and fuel lines, coolant hose tubing and CAC Bump Hoses, we have what you need on the shelf.
If you have ever looked at the coolant/heater system on a HD truck you will appreciate the practical use of our Coolant Distribution Manifold. The manifold is not chassis specific, meaning you can install the product on any make or model of truck. The manifold is machined from a solid billet aluminum block and available as a stand alone item or complete with all the valves and fittings.
The replacement engine is bolted in the chassis, the engine harness is installed and you have a full functioning dash. All of the piping has been installed as well as replacing the plumbing. The truck is ready to hit the road with 1 small issue; the fan blade is not engaged up into the fan shroud opening. We provide a 3" mirror stainless ring that rivets to the molded OEM shroud to provide proper engagement.
